Joan Rivers' doctor reportedly took selfies during the comedy icon's fatal surgery. According to a report from New York Daily News, new legal proof revealed that Yorkville Endoscopy personnel snapped photos while the comedienne was sedated.

In court documents filed last week, Dr. Lawrence Cohen reportedly posed with Joan Rivers for a selfie during her fatal surgery last Aug. 28, 2014. The botched throat operation placed the former "Fashion Police" host in a coma before she died a week later.

Details indicated in Yorkville Endoscopy's own clinical records, a sworn statement by anesthesiologist Renuka Bankulla, documents by a federal regulatory agency and a report from the medical examiner all proved the lead doctor's actions.

Dr. Lawrence Cohen also failed to give a sworn testimony to deny that he took a Joan Rivers selfie during the surgery.

"Notably, despite Dr. Bankulla's clear statement in the medical records that Dr. Cohen took a photograph of Joan Rivers while she was unconscious during the procedure, Dr. Cohen's unverified response ... denies this fact," new court documents said.

In addition to the anesthesiologist during Joan Rivers' operation who saw the selfie being taken during surgery, clinic director Daniel Adler also verified the allegations.

Yorkville Endoscopy is currently facing a multi-million dollar medical malpractice lawsuit from Joan Rivers' only daughter, Melissa Rivers. According to an earlier report from Entertainment Tonight, the 47-year-old executive producer of "Fashion Police" is reportedly "outraged" at the Upper East Side medical facility.

"[Melissa Rivers] is outraged by the misconduct and mismanagement now shown to have occurred before, during and after the procedure," her lawyers said in a statement.

The outpatient clinic was also supposedly unable to get Joan Rivers' formal consent for the fatal throat procedure that was performed on her.

Yorkville Endoscopy also reportedly "failed to identify deteriorating vital signs", which eventually led to Joan Rivers' untimely death.
