‘Five Nights At Freddy’s 4’ Release Date Changed To August On Official Steam Page

"Five Nights at Freddy's 4" creator Scott Cawthon has been known to churn out his games quickly and quietly. It is no surprise then that once again, the game will arrive much sooner than suspected.

I however will still not be playing these games, as I'm still too terrified.

Nevertheless, the official Steam page for "Five Nights at Freddy's 4" has finally launched this evening, with a full description, trailer, and a bunch of new teaser images from said trailer. Additionally, the steam page has also updated the previous release date of Oct. 31 to sometime this August.

So far, fans on Reddit are focusing on the file size of "Five Nights at Freddy's 4," and how much bigger it is than the previous installments.

"If it's that size now, just imagine how much bigger the Halloween update will make it . . . Scott really is putting his heart into this one," said Notwiththeflames.

Other fans are simply expressing their excitement.

"Yes, I knew it. Oh it's beautiful! This is amazing," said JackMLupin.

There's plenty of new things to look for in the official Steam page for "Five Nights at Freddy's 4," so there will likely be plenty of analysis and secrets revealed before the game comes next month.

One thing however that is now straight forward is the game description. Scott Cawthon officially describes "Five Nights at Freddy's 4" as follows:

"This time, the terror has followed you home. In this last chapter of the Five Nights at Freddy's original story, you must once again defend yourself against Freddy Fazbear, Chica, Bonnie, Foxy, and even worse things that lurk in the shadows."

It goes on:

"Playing as a child whose role is yet unknown, you must safeguard yourself until 6am by watching the doors, as well as warding off unwanted creatures that may venture into your closet or onto the bed behind you."

It further explains:

"You have only a flashlight to protect yourself. It will scare away things that may be creeping at the far end of the hallways, but be careful, and listen. If something has crept too close, then shining lights in its eyes will be your end."

Flashlight only you say? Nope. Nope. Nope.
