Joni Mitchell Brain Aneurysm: Joni Mitchell Condition Improving; Legendary Songwriter Expected To Fully Recover

Joni Mitchell Brain Aneurysm: Joni Mitchell's condition is reportedly improving. TMZ reported that a full recovery is expected for the ailing folk rock legend.

According to Joni Mitchell's attorney, the songwriter is making amazing progress since she suffered a brain an aneurysm.

TMZ cited court documents that said Rebecca Thyne, a lawyer who was appointed to Mitchell's conservatorship case visited Mitchell on June 26.

Thyne said Mitchell was feeding herself lunch when she showed up at her home.

The attorney said Mitchell was making "remarkable progress" and is "expected to make a full recovery."

Joni Mitchell's official website said the singer is "speaking well" and "a full recovery is expected."

"Joni did in fact suffer an aneurysm," reads the statement on JoniMitchell.com. "However, details that have emerged in the past few days are mostly speculative. The truth is that Joni is speaking, and she's speaking well. She is not walking yet, but she will be in the near future as she is undergoing daily therapies."

On March 30 folk singer/songwriter Mitchell was found unconscious in her home and was subsequently hospitalized. There have been periodic updates posted to her website describing her health status, but all that have been posted have been very positive.

David Crosby confirmed that legendary singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell suffered an aneurysm and "is not speaking yet," three months after she was found unconscious at her Los Angeles home. There has been little information about Mitchell's condition since she entered a Los Angeles hospital on May 26th.

Crosby had at one time been Mitchell's songwriting partner. Crosby produced her first album.

"I love her. She was my old lady at one point. She's probably the best of us - probably the greatest living singer-songwriter. ... We're all holding our breath and thinking a good thought, hoping that it's going to turn out okay," Crosby told the Huffington Post.
