YG Entertainment Explains Why 'E' is Not Following Big Bang's Previous Release Trends

Unlike the past few months, there will be no first of the month release from Big Bang in August. Instead, Big Bang's next track will be released on August 1.

"E," the last part of Big Bang's "MADE" project series, will be released on August 5, according to YG Entertainment. Big Bang previously released "MADE" singles on the first of each month since May.

Big Bang's company explained that the later release is in order for the group and their fans to be able to celebrate the release better.

YG Entertainment explained that the timeline shift for the release of "E" is because Big Bang will be out of Korea for August 1, and that the first of the month is a Saturday; new music is rarely released on Saturdays in South Korea.

"Every new release of [the] 'Made' series has been live-broadcasted with a countdown for fans," YG Entertainment explained in a statement. "However, August 1 is [a] Saturday and the members will be doing [their] world tour at that time. So, we inevitably changed the date."

"E" also breaks the previous mold of the "MADE" series as it is the first release without all five members. Instead, "E" heralds the return of Big Bang's rap subunit, GD & TOP. It has been five years since members G-Dragon and T.O.P released songs together as a duo.

GD & Top's song will apparently be titled "Fantastic."
