Spotify has partnered with Nike+ Running for the integration of their systems and aid the public to keep them running and fit.

In a report on Mashable, it was cited that Spotify was integrated into Nike+ Running in its recent app update. The improvement in Spotify's lineup of offering came in just weeks after Apple Music was launched.

As posted on Nike's blog, the partnership was decided as researches and studies have suggested how helpful it was for runners or anyone to get motivated when their workout was accompanied by music.

Nike said the app update includes the exclusive "Pace Stations." With this offering, users have the option to input the goal they want in running as well as the music they prefer to listen to. Once the data has been entered, the program then generates a 100-song playlist that will best aid the user to reach his or her target.

"Our partnership with Spotify takes that experience to a new level, leveraging personalized music as motivational fuel every run, for every runner," Nike VP for Global Running Brand Marketing Adam Roth said.

"Nike and Spotify are combining forces to create the ultimate motivating experience for runners," Spotify VP for Consumer and Partner Marketing pointed out. "Nike+ runners now have access to millions of tracks through Spotify to help them achieve their personal goals and find their fast this summer."

The Spotify Nike+ Running Integration update rolled out last Sunday on iOS and according to The Verge, the offer was currently exclusive for iOS for now.

The Verge also mentioned that this integration was different from Spotify running that was released in May. As with Nike+ Running was aiming to get the user to its target or even beyond with a pre-selected list of songs apt for the goal, Spotify Running, on the other hand, reportedly just plays songs depending on the pace the user is going.

The Spotify Nike+ Running integration is available for free trial from seven to 60 days.
