Brothers Pull Injured Hammerhead Shark Out Of The Water [VIDEO]

Two brothers spotted an injured hammerhead shark on the Destin, FL shoreline and decided to do what they could do help.

In a video that’s steadily going viral, one of the men is seen pulling the shark out of the water and away from the public.

“My brother, once realizing it was injured, swam out to bring it to shore away from people still in the water. I filmed this heroic display as he dragged the injured 10ft. hammerhead to shore,” wrote YouTube user 1ArmStarfish in the description of the video.

The shark had several deep sea fishing hooks in its mouth as well as a steel fishing line tangled in around its head. Although there was some yelling in the background, bystanders were seen helping the men after they realized that the brothers were just trying to help the shark.

The hooks were eventually taken out of the shark.

One of the men pulled the shark into deeper water so that it could swim away. The brothers continue to be praised on social media for their efforts.

“Great job! and thank you for your knowledge and not discriminating against the animal. You saved its life,” commented YouTube user Pat Keo.

Social media user Francis1930 wrote, “Fantastic work, a true heroic deed to save the Hammerhead shark. You’ve proved that sharks don’t deserve their deadly reputation. Really impressed when I saw you walk the shark back out to sea, without any fear, as you were in effect at the disadvantage.”
