Larry Bird On Michael Jordan: 'Yep, He'll Beat Me'; Says Steph Curry Is The Best Shooter Now

This year, legends are starting conversations left and right about who the better team is, or who the better player is.

A few weeks ago, Shaquille O'Neal and Scottie Pippen were arguing which All-Time team will win. O'Neal said that his Lakers team will beat Pippen's Chicago Bulls team by 50-points.

Now, Michael Jordan and Larry Bird are pitted against each other but the Indiana Pacers Vice President of Basketball Operations wants the debate to die easily as h admitted that he will lose to Michael Jordan in a 1-on-1 match.

"Could I take Jordan? Where's this going? Can I wear my Hickory uniform? Boy, that'd be a good game," Bird said before revealing his opinion to ESPN.

"I hate to admit this, but he'd kill me. ... I'm 40 pounds more than I was when I played, I'm broken-down, I really don't care like I used to, I have a fight in me but it's not the fight that I once had ... but it'd be a pretty close game," he said.

But when Jordan claimed that he will also defeat any player on the Indiana Pacers roster right now, Bird laughed while also ridiculing the idea.

"Now?" he said. "Oh, gee. Come on, he can believe whatever he wants. ... He'd have to prove that to me. Man, [star athletes have] to let this stuff go. ... That's just ridiculous."

Talking about shooting, he was asked if he believes he is still one of the best shooter in town.

"Oh yeah. Oh God yeah. Standing still, shooting? Ain't no problem," says Bird.

However, he clarified that he might not be the best shooter in the Indiana Pacers history.

"Nah, Reggie [Miller] was here, Chris Mullin, Sam Perkins; they had some pretty good shooters."

He also commended Stephen Curry and he believes that the NBA MVP is one of the best shooters to ever play in the NBA.

"I don't know about that," Bird said. "Chris Mullin was pretty good. ... [But] deep shooter, Curry is about one of the best," Bird said.
