Lumia 950 XL Release Date Specs And Renders [PHOTOS]: Polycarbonate Body, 5.7-Inch Display And Infrared Iris Scanner For Windows Hello

New information surrounding Microsoft's Lumia 950 XL phone has been leaked.

Windows Central has released render images of the new mobile device, dubbed the "Cityman," via its website. See photos of the renders here

Hardware and software specs for the Lumia 950 XL have also been released, revealing highly-speculated features for Microsoft's new device. Although "Cityman" specs are similar to its "Talkman" counterpart, known simply as the Lumia 950, they do include unique features that aren't available on the other version.

The Lumia 950XL includes a polycarbonate body that is available in matte white or black. It also includes a 5.7 inch (1440 x 2560) WQHD display and an infrared iris scanner compatible with Windows Hello.

Hardware also includes aluminum side buttons and a 3300 mAh removable battery.

In regards to software, the "Cityman" phone will include a Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and Qi wireless charging.

Both the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL have been referred to as the 940 and 940 XL due to Microsoft's model sequence. However, it seems developers have decided to skip a model number and have instead opted for their current names.

More details surrounding the mobile device will be revealed in September, when the phone's release date is set to be announced.
