The former cast member of hit 90's TV show, "Saved by the Bell," is currently in hot water.

Dustin Diamond, a former actor who played the role of Screech, has previously been arrested for stabbing charges. The incident happened last Christmas, Diamond allegedly got into a bar fight that led him to allegedly stab a man to protect his girlfriend. Now, he has been sentenced to four months in jail. 

In a report published by CNN, Dustin expressed his regret in getting involved in the altercation. The site source quoted the former actor when he said that it was the "single most terrifying experience" of his entire life.

Moreso, Dustin swore infornt of the judge in court. "I want it to be clear that this situation will be not repeated again," he said. The judge infront of him was Judge Paul Malloy. Malloy sentenced Diamond to spend 120 days in jail. Aside from that, he also required the former "Saved by the Bell" cast member to pay a fee that is more than $1,000. The fee is for the purpose of restitution. 

The initial report, which was filed months ago, entails Diamond entering a bar named Grand Avenue Saloon, located at Port Washington. Dustin was accompanied by his girlfriend, Amanda Schutz. After some time, some drunk guests entered the bar as well and were acting rude to the other customers. Shortly after, a fight ensued between Dustin and the drunk men, due to their behavior. 

Dustin allegedly saw his girlfriend holding her hair while bleeding after being attacked by one of the men from the group. "Diamond said he moved toward his girlfriend when a man grabbed him," the statement from the official report read, as quoted by the source cited above. "Diamond said he might have stabbed the man with a pen used to sign a credit card receipt but later conceded he was armed with the knife."

"Diamond stated that he did not intentionally stab the individual in the bar but that chaos broke out and people were grabbing at him and that he swung his arms to break free," the report continued.

Regardless of whether it was the fault of the drunk group who entered, the fact that the "Saved by the Bell" cast member stabbed another person in the process of fighting another man, makes for a serious case, one that he eventually got sentenced for.
