Houston Rockets Corey Brewer Says He Was Drug Tested After Scoring 51 Pts Against Current Team

Corey Brewer just shared one of the funniest in the NBA. After playing the best game of his life, it was never reported before that he got a drug test right after the game.

This is his historic 51-point performance against his current team, the Houston Rockets. Brewer was just all over the place for Minnesota, stealing possessions, scoring get-away buckets, hitting 3-pointers, nothing could simply go wrong for him that night.

Good thing though, is the Rockets won't be experiencing that anytime soon as Brewer just signed a 3-year, $24 million contract.

He shared the bizarre incident with CBS Sports' James Herbert, where he was asked if people still bring out that 51-point explosion last season.

"People bring it up pretty often. I just remember it was amazing," he said. "I felt like everything I threw up was going in. It was fun. And especially it was fun to do it in Minnesota where we had a rough year, to get the crowd something to cheer about."

Then, the long-kept secret was revealed. He was asked what took him so long to speak with the media right after the game, an hour to be precise.

"I had a random drug test from the NBA. So I couldn't do the interview until I got done with my drug test," he shared. "I didn't have to go to the bathroom. So it took a while. It was weird, it was just funny at the same time. I was like 'Wow, I played the best game of my life, now I gotta go to the bathroom to take this drug test."

Nevertheless, Brewer remains one of the most two-way threat in the league and here's hoping that the incident does not happen again.
