Is Andre Berto Vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. Fight Worth Watching? Only A True Boxing Fan Might Appreciate It

Alas, the fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Andre Berto is good to go. But nobody seems to be excited about it but the camps involved.

What the fight was able to get since it was announced were utter criticisms. For many, they believe Mayweather could have picked a better opponent. Berto is often compared to be below average compared to fighters the undefeated American battled in the past five years.

Although Berto told TMZ Sports: "sounds good, but he gonna be in there with a different animal bro.".

Then he added, "We focused and dialed in ready to make history!" Although many just do not see this happening.

As per the undefeated Mayweather, he does not consider Berto as a fodder type of opponent according to Opening Round.

"He's a young, strong fighter who is hungry to take down the best. Forty-eight have tried before and on Sept. 12, I'm going to make it 49," he said.

For fans wondering if they should go pay for this fight, here's Bad Left Hook's verdict on the fight. According to the website, It will depend if someone is a hardcore boxing fan or not.

"That depends. Are you a big Mayweather fan? A big Berto fan? Are you a super diehard hardcore boxing 'head'? If you said yes to any of those questions, then sure, why not? You basically know what you're getting into more likely than not," as stated in the website.

But for those who are just watching the sport for high profile matches, it will probably disappoint them.

"But if you said no to all of those questions, then this is really not worth it. The undercard may be solid, but if you're not a diehard fan, then does Badou Jack vs George Groves really pique your interest?"
