Tool New Album To Be Done After Puscifer’s Release? Maynard James Keenan Talks About The Record

While talks of a new Tool album go around, band's vocalist Maynard James Keenan recently talked about another record release with his other project, Puscifer.

According to a Blabbermouth report, Keenan is looking for an Oct. 30 release of a new album for his other project before shifting his attention with Tool.

Keenan is teaming up with Carina Round, Juliette Commagere, Devo Keenan, Tim Alexander, Jon Theodore, Jeff Friedl and Matt McJunkins for the release.

"It's such a pleasure to work on music with so many creative individuals. The intermix of influences and ideas made for an album I'm really proud of," producer Mat Mitchell explained.

In line with this, the band released a new song entitled "Grand Canyon," which is their first single off the album.

"It's extremely satisfying to witness simple conversations and ideas transform into completed sonic landscapes. And to have these stories go above and beyond the initial ideas makes my grumpy heart swell three sizes," said the Tool singer.

Keenan expects to continue with the Tool new album after October and is hoping for a release for next year.

In a recent Rolling Stone report, the group recently overcame a lawsuit that took almost a decade of the band's time and that the expected release from the group is having fans excited.

"Our greatest strength is jamming and coming up with stuff," Tool guitarist Adam Jones said. "We're doing that really well now and I'm excited about everything we're working on. Some of it's really heavy, some of it's really complex and some is more atmospheric, but it's definitely Tool."

Although there are no official words regarding the new Tool album release for now, fans have to wait until Keenan come up with the upcoming release from Puscifer for now.
