“Pillars Of Eternity: The White March” has an official release date.

Paradox Interactive and Obsidian Entertainment have just announced the release date for “Pillars Of Eternity: The White March,” the first expansion of the game as reported by IGN.

The expansion features a story penned by Carrie Patel (“Recoletta” series) and Eric Fenstermaker (“South Park: The Stick Of Truth”).

For those not familiar with the original game, “Pillars of Eternity” is an RPG that takes place in the fictional fantasy world of Eora inside the Drywood nation. Players go on a mission to solve the mystery as to why the newborns of Drywood are born without souls, and why a person who has been “awakened” gets the power to see souls.

An announcement trailer was released by Paradox Interactive’s Youtube Channel however it didn’t show the “Pillars Of Eternity: The White March” release date. There isn’t a lot to go on from the trailer as it showed some of the graphics and gave a short introduction to how the game would be like. It noted some of the expansion upgrades: new abilities, a higher-level cap, new companions and more to the video game.

The Official Website gave a lot more information on the game. Much like many tactical RPG video games, players have the option to choose a character to play. They get to choose among the Human, Aumaua, Dward, Elf, Godlike, and Orlan races. Apart from this, players are also given the option to choose their classes by being presented with options that are entirely up to the player’s customization preferences.

“Pillars Of Eternity: The White March” release date for Part 1 is set on Aug.15, 2015.
