Ariel Winter's Breast Reduction Surgery has been officially confirmed by the "Modern Family" star.

In an article published by The Independent, along with numerous other entertainment websites, it was revealed that the 17-year-old has confirmed the news herself.

According to the site, Winter decided to undergo the procedure because she was being sexualised by both the press and the public through social media. Moreso, in an interview with Glamour magazine, Ariel revealed that bearing the actual size of her breasts was more of a hassle than it should be, as it causes pain in her back as well, because of the weight.

"I was 15 years old with [size] F [breasts]," said Winter to the magazine. "It's like, 'How do you navigate that?'" 

"It started to hurt so bad that I couldn't take the pain," Ariel Winter added about her breasts, which eventually led her to undergo a breast reduction surgery.

The actress also pointed out that being sexualised because of the size of her breasts made it extremely difficult to work. "That's pretty much all I was known for and that upset me," she said. "It made me feel really uncomfortable because as women in the industry, we are totally over sexualised and treated like objects."

"Every article that has to do with me on a red carpet always had to do with 'Ariel Winter's Crazy Cleavage!' Or 'Ariel Winter Shows Huge Boobs At An Event!' That's all people would recognise me by, not, 'Oh, she does great work on Modern Family.'"

As to how her family took the news of her decision to undergo surgery, she said that they were not surprised at all.

"A few of my cousins have had breast reductions, so it wasn't a shock when I decided to get one," she said, claiming that their family has a history of having large breasts among its female members. "I got it for myself. I can't even really put it into words about how amazing it feels to really feel right."
