New iPhone Release Date Set For September 2015; Analyst Predicts New iPhone 7; iPhone 6s, Won't Sell

The new iPhone will launch in September and at least one analyst says the iPhone 6S or 7 won't sell.

Apple's iPhone 7, AKA the iPhone 6s, launch is one of the most anticipated events of the technology calendar. Apple plans to hold a big event early in September 2015 to launch  its next iPhone.  John Paczkowski of BuzzFeed reported that event will happen on Wednesday, September 9th.

While the tech-world awaits the new iPhone launch in September 2015, hoping the iPhone 6s will shake up the market for older iPhones this fall, Wall Street is wary of its effect on Apple's revenues and profits. Apple sold 47 million iPhones last quarter, 35 percent more than a year ago, but iPad business in general is slowing down.

According to News.com.au, Apple is struggling to impress investors with the "burden of raised expectations" and the iPhone 6S or iPhone 7 will sell less well than its predecessor.

KGI Securities forecast zero or even negative growth of iPhone sales in the last quarter of 2015," according to News.com.au.
Traditionally, iPhones have been introduced during this timeframe every year since 2011.

Cupertino, California-based Apple will feature Mac and OS X updates in October. BuzzFeed posted an Apple TV update to follow the release of the new iPhone 7.
The new iPhone will be physically identical to last year's iPhone 6 with some hardware changes that may include the force touch technology included on the Apple Watch and the company's new MacBook and MacBook Pros.

The Apple TV update detailed a redesign of the hardware that Apple's been offering since early 2012. The Verge speculated that if Apple makes the TV stand out, it will get a lot of attention.
