Google Hangout For Android Now Improved; Video Call Continues Despite Changing Connectivity

Google has finally released several improvements to its messaging app Hangout for Android phones.

According to Boosh Articles, the Hangout 4.0 for Android has three noticeable changes.

The first innovation given to the application is its simpler design. The site reported that by adding a new compose button, it becomes friendlier to the user to create a new group or start a new conversation.

Another noteworthy improvement is the streamlined contact list that enables one to easily and quickly browse through it.

Apart from these things, sharing of attachments such as emoji and photos have also become simpler and easier.

The second improvement is its sleeker layout. The site explained that as a user taps on something, it responds in "more intuitive ways" and as one opens a task after another, no more lags can be observed.

The third upgrade that an Android user can notice about the Google Hangout application in his or her mobile device is its faster operation.

With the way the app responds to its user, Boosh Articles commented that the Google team must have really been working so hard to fix the reported bugs. It even noted that with the new Hangout 4.0, messaging already looks similar to that of the iOS' iMessage.

Meanwhile, Android Police revealed that the upgrade is something that an Android user must be happy about.

While many users could have been pissed off with the previous version's annoying act of dropping a video call while switching connectivity, the latest update has already addressed this.

The site cited a certain "Tutsumi" as the one who discovered this must-love feature of Google's Hangout 4.0 for Android phones.

The said user detailed that when someone shifts from a Wi-Fi to a mobile network while making a video call, he or she has nothing to worry about anymore since that user will no longer lose the one on the other line.
