The mystery of the "Sad Satan" deep web (and or publicity stunt depending on who you believe) game had seemingly died down a few weeks ago after several Redditors had left no stone unturned and theorized that the original game as played by Obscure Horror Corner was never actually from the deep web.

Interest in the game has however resurged after famous YouTube gamer PewDiePie uploaded a video of himself playing what appears to the "clean version" of "Sad Satan." The resurgence in interest however seems to only highlight the long-standing question of, who created the creepy horror game?

More importantly however, some Redditors who have remained clued in to any and all information about "Sad Satan" believe that PewDiePie's upload is careless considering the lack of warning about the "bad version" of the game.

"He or someone who works for him had to know about the troubling past of the game but they still didn't put a warning into the video or the description. That's grossly negligent, especially when your audience mostly consists of teenagers," said MrNagasaki in the official PewDiePie "Sad Satan" Reddit thread.

Other Redditors added to this sentiment by pointing out that links of the "Sad Satan" horror game that contains child pornography still exist on forum website 4chan, without any explanation. In short, any viewer looking for a playable version of "Sad Satan" could wind up accidentally downloading the version that not only is illegal, but has also completely crashed several users' computers.

"If you're a popular YTer and promoting (and yes, PDP playing a game counts as promoting) a game which has a version full of gore and CP, any normal person would want to warn people about that," said Nureintier.

Based on some of the comments on PewDiePie's video, it would appear that he offers even less explanation that other players of "Sad Satan" offered previously.
