NBA Trade Rumors: Carmelo Anthony, DeMarcus Cousins And Joe Johnson Likely To Be Moved Once Season Starts?

Even though the 2015-2016 NBA season has yet to begun, three names has already been put to the NBA trade rumor mill.

Bleacher Report's Howard Beck reported that New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony, Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins, and Brooklyn Nets guard Joe Johnson might be moved during the course of next season.

First up, Beck speculated that Carmelo Anthony might be on the trading block should the new acquisitions don't work out quite well as expected. He added that it will depend on his level of patience since he is entering his 30s and he should be chasing for championships by now.

Next up is Joe Johnson, who might be a key asset for playoff contenders since he has a friendly expiring contract and he is still a deadly scorer at this point of his career. Should he be moved to another team, he is expected to play the role player position and provide much needed back-up offense. Beck added that the Nets can only go as far with Johnson and it is time to start a new era for Brooklyn.

Lastly, Boogie is still subject to many trade rumors. According to Howard Beck, although trade rumors about DeMarcus Cousins have calmed down a bit, majority of the Kings organization are still inclined to move the elite big man.

"Sacramento, I think, wants to hold onto him. Certainly the owner Vivek Ranadive absolutely wants to hold onto DeMarcus Cousins," per Beck. "But I've been told if you polled the rest of the organization, the vast majority are in favor of trading DeMarcus Cousins and that would include, though he denies it, coach George Karl."

But immediately after Beck posted the article, DeMarcus Cousins and Vivek Ranadive immediately debunked Beck's speculation via Twitter.
