Los Angeles Clippers Rumors: Jamal Crawford On His Way To New York Knicks?

The Los Angeles Lakers are ready to rumble once the new season begins. They loaded their roster with plenty of talents and there is a huge possibility that not everybody will be given the chance to contribute.

In fact, analysts are already considering one of the best sixth man, Jamal Crawford, to be the odd man out soon. In a report by Frank Isola, there is a chance that the sweet-shooting guard might be moved to the New York Knicks.

However, the New York Knicks are not the only team that has expressed interest in the veteran guard. According to Northeast Ohio Media Group's Chris Haynes, Crawford and the Cavaliers show mutual interest in each other.

"I know Jamal personally, and I know he would definitely like to be a part of the Cavaliers organization," Haynes said.

"Jamal is one guy off the top of my head that I know would be a fit, and I know that they'll be looking at him. They want to use that exception for a wing player."

But even if the Cavs do bring Smith back, Pro Basketball Talk's DanFeldman noted Crawford could stand to help Cleveland's explosive offense.

Moreover, Pro Basketball Talk's Dan Feldman indicated that the reason why the Cavaliers are having second thoughts on re-signing Smith is they are negotiating a deal that would net them Crawford.

"If Smith returns, Crawford is even more of a luxury as another shooter," Feldman wrote. "With the attention LeBron, Irving and Love attract, Cleveland can always use more spot-up threats. Mo Williams filled the Cavaliers' major need for an off-the-bench shot creator. "

"The 35-year-old Crawford has declined in that regard, but there's at least hope he could provide a little insurance."
