To date, little is known about Sony's new Xperia line, and according to a report by Tech Tree, it's highly unlikely that their flagship Z5 Plus can release by the end of the year, after rumored specs of the phone surfaced.

In the meantime, the company is expected to release their lower-end models - the Z5 and Z5 Compact - at the 2015 IFA convention in September.

Below are the rumored specs for the Sony Xperia Z5 line (Z5, Z5 Compact, and Z5 Plus).

All three handsets are expected to run on a Quallcomm Snapdragon 810 processor instead of the superior Snapdragon 820 chip.

The Z5 and Z5 compact will feature a fingerprint scanner, marking the company's first phone to carry the safety device. Also, a gravity sensor and a retina scanner.

The Sony Xperia Z5 will operate on the latest version of Android, straight out of the box with the Marshmallow, claims a report by Gospel Herald.

Improvements have been made with the camera: 20.7 MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera, both featuring Sony's Optical Image Stabilization.

The list of rumored specs include 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, a 5.5-inch full HD display with Gorilla Glass.

The biggest rumor about the phone's specs is its powerful battery, which is capable of a full charge in few minutes.

"The most interesting feature that might come is the fast charging battery capabilities, there are rumors that are stating, a phone could be charged in 5 to 10 minutes," according to xiperiaz5.com. 

No price has been mentioned yet, although "it should not be too far off the original price of the previous models," claims Latino Post.

A report by Android Origin says the Z5's design draws heavily from the company's recent BRAVIA television sets and will feature a completely clean front end with a frosted glass effect," adding "the body will be thicker than the Xperia Z3 and Z4, with more angular sides."
