Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Update For OnePlus One And Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Now Available!

The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update is now ready to download for OnePlus One; Samsung Galaxy Note 4 gets it, too!

According to Android Police, OnePlus One mobile users have every reason to be happy with the release of the latest version of the OS, however, the bad thing is it is only available for the 2% of them.

Cyanogen OS 12.1, which is based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, is a 654MB update and will run on any version that a user has installed.

With such installation, "This will leave your device running build YOG4PAS1N0."

"This update provides critical security fixes for your device to address recently publicized vulnerabilities on Android devices," the OnePlus One version of the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update description read.

"As this is a sizable update, please allocate 20 minutes for the installation process and ensure your device is fully charged before proceeding with the install," it added.

While some might have gone excited over the latest update's release, the website noted (in its more updated article) that OnePlus has decided to completely stop the OTA "due to issues it hasn't explained."

Nevertheless, those who still want to install the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update can still do it manually, making sure though that they do not flash the encryption.

Meanwhile, VC Post reported that an update of the said OS for Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is now available as well.

The article revealed that Sprint will send out the update to its users via OTA, while the other mobile carriers are reportedly making a roll-out of it.

It was learned that the OS upgrade is expected to address the issues among Samsung Galaxy Note 4 handsets as it "guarantees the stability improvements along with the enhanced features."

The downside, however, is the fact that users need to wait for the OTA update of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop in their notification setting.
