Watch New 'Kingdom Hearts Unchained X' Trailers Featuring Styles Of Gameplay [VIDEOS]

New announcements about "Kingdom Hearts Unchained X" have arrived, but "Kingdom Hearts 3" still remains a trailer and seemingly endless development.

Where is the release date?

Nevertheless, several new trailers have been released for the new "Kingdom Hearts Unchained X" mobile game. The trailers, available to view below, feature the styles of gameplay, including the new goal of finishing fights in one turn. "Kingdom Hearts Unchained X" will be released in Japan sometime in September.

Earlier this year at the 2015 E3 event, director Tetsuya Nomura explained several key points about "Kingdom Hearts Unchained X," including how it's different than "Kingdom Hearts X."

"The story between 'Chi' and 'Unchained Chi' are very similar but there is a 'gimmick' of sorts between the two versions. We'll find out about the 'two different keys as the story is revealed," teased Nomura (via KHInsider).

Luckily for fans outside of Japan, Square Enix did confirm the game would be exported to the West. There's no release date yet, but it will likely follow in a few months after the Japanese release in September.

Anime News Network reports the following description for "Kingdom Hearts Unchained X":

"The game will take place in the distant past, and players will take on the role of a keyblade wielder. Players will strengthen their keyblades and collect character medals while investigating various Disney-themed worlds. Players can use the medals to launch big attacks, and create and use decks. Players will also aim for a 'one-turn finish' in battles."

For those who are not familiar with the "Kingdom Hearts," the series franchise is a Japanese RPG combining Square Enix and Disney characters. The games follow the story of Sora, who one day discovers that not only are there other worlds, but that his heart contains the key to saving them from the darkness.
