Caroline Wozniacki Interview About Rory McIlroy Applies To Stumble Leading Up To US Open 2015

Caroline Wozniacki is gearing up to the US Open 2015 and she wants to leave behind Rory McIlroy drama once and for all. But what the Danish player said about Rory McIlroy in a recent interview can be curiously applied to her professional stumble pre US Open.

According to Sports Illustrated, Caroline Wozniacki said, "I don't think there is any reason to go back. Obviously that relationship taught me so much and made me the person I am today, but at this point, I am like, I've moved on, Rory has moved on, and I am ready for the media to move on."

Caroline Wozniacki indeed is also ready to move on from the fact that she hasn’t been playing her best the past few months. At Conneticut Open final, she lost again, making a WTA more and more elusive.

This kind of professional and social stress has also been building within the 26-year-old player. She finally let that stress out by firing back at WTA for making the players perform through injuries.

She said, “The WTA, they’re like, ‘We want the players healthy, we want them to play at their best level at every tournament and we want to make it tough for them. And that’s good. But the fact that they’re pushing you to play whenever – if you are not feeling 100 percent – is not OK.”

Sounds like she wants some changes before the US Open 2015. Including Rory McIlroy.

This isn’t the first time that the Danish player fired back at tennis organizations like WTA. Back in June, the 25-year-old player accused the Wimbledon committee for being sexist when assigning courts to tennis players.

Recently Caroline Wozniacki may be desperate for a boyfriend after going through two bad eggs. After JJ Watt denied his relationship, the former world no 1 is rumored to have instantly fallen for Drake at Wimbledon 2015.
