Tori Spelling is reportedly using her and Dean McDermott's experiences with cheating scandals to help other women. The former teen actress is getting close to TV star Kristin Taekman after her husband was revealed to be among the account owners of hacked cheating website Ashley Madison.

According to a report from Radar Online, "Real Housewives of New York" reality star and former "Beverly Hills 90210" cast member are helping each other amid their respective husbands' alleged cheating.

"They met last year at an event in New York City, and became friends," an insider shared.

"Tori went through a very public scandal when her husband, Dean, cheated on her, so she's been there."

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott's marital woes have been widely followed by the general public, particularly how it affected their four children.

After what Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott have been through, the mother-of-four also allegedly told her new friend to not dwell too much on her husband, Josh Taekman.

"Tori told Kristen to take the time and figure out what the best decision is for her and the kids," the source said.

"Even though Josh has only admitted to have an account on Ashley Madison, Kristen of course has doubts. Tori advised Kristen to carry on in public as she always does, and to never let the press get an unflattering picture."

People recently reported about how Josh Taekman admitted to having an Ashley Madison account.

"I signed up for the site foolishly and ignorantly with a group of friends and I deeply apologize for any embarrassment or pain I have brought to my wife and family," the 46-year-old confessed.

"We both look forward to moving past this and getting on with our lives."

Many hope that Kristen Taekman and her husband could move on from the Ashley Madison ordeal the same way that Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott recovered. Life and Style even reported that the "True Tori" couple is planning to renew their wedding vows after surviving their numerous marriage problems.

"I would love to renew our vows," Dean McDermott shared earlier this year.

"When the time is right, we'll do it."
