Specs And Features Of The iPhone 6 And Xiaomi Mi 4 Compared; How Can The Chinese Brand Beat Apple?

The iPhone 6 and the Xiaomi Mi 4 proved to be one of the top phones in the market today and techies are all optimistic as to what the two gadgets could offer on the table.

In a comparison by GSM Arena, the specs and features of the two smartphones were put side by side to see which device could pack a punch.

Released around the same time last year, both gadgets seem to take a blow at each other with their head-to-head matchup.

Starting off with the dimensions, the iPhone 6 weighs in a little bit lighter than the Xiaomi Mi 4 at 129 g as compared to the 149 g of the latter.

The overall dimensions seem to be almost the same with 138.1 x 67 x 6.9 mm for the iPhone and 139.2 x 68.5 x 8.9 mm for the Xiaomi.

A smaller screen size, however, is what the iPhone 6 could offer with just a 4.7-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD, capacitive touchscreen while the Mi 4 has a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen.

The Apple gadget has a 750 x 1334 pixels resolution support protected with an ion-strengthened glass, oleophobic coating. On the other hand, the Xiaomi phone supports 1080 x 1920 pixels of resolution packed with the MIUI 5.0.

For its under the hood specs and features, the iPhone 6 is powered by the Apple A8 chipset, packed with a dual-core 1.4 GHz Cyclone CPU and PowerVR GX6450 GPU that powers a quad-core graphics while it runs on the latest iOS.

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Mi 4 has a Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 chipset, powered by a quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU, while running on a stock Android OS 4.4.3 KitKat.

Lastly, the camera functions of the iPhone 6 and Xiaomi Mi 4 were compared and proved how different the specs of the two phones could perform.

The Apple iPhone 6 is equipped with just an 8-megapixel camera but could support 3264 x 2448 pixels of resolution while having the functions of phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, geo-tagging, simultaneous HD video and image recording, touch focus, face/smile detection and HDR.

On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mi 4 has a 13-megapixel sensor that could support 4128 x 3096 pixels of resolution with autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, panorama and HDR features.
