Emilia Clarke Loathes Fame? 'Terminator' Actress Claims She Wants 'To Be Invisible'

While the success of "Game of Thrones" made Emilia Clarke-who plays Daenerys Targayen in the hit HBO series-a household name, fame has a huge price to pay. During an interview with Metro magazine, the "Terminator Genisys" actress said that she longs for anonymity.

"I don't like what fame brings; sometimes I just want to be invisible, so I can walk down a street and enjoy a good time," she said.

But Emilia Clarke did acknowledge that "Game of Thrones" has opened the doors for her to get more opportunity, such as playing Sarah Connor in "Terminator Genisys," for instance.

"If being lucky means being able to work for many years seeking an opportunity, then yes, I've been lucky. Television gave me a boost," she said. "But I don't want people to remember me as Daenerys Targaryen from 'Game of Thrones.'"

It was earlier alledged that Emilia Clarke was dropped off the sequel to "Terminator Genisys" due to the laggard showing of the Arnold Schwarzenegger starrer in the US box-office.

That's a sad thing because the English actress fulfilled a dream when she was tapped to play Sarah Connor.

"Working alongside a cyborg murderer. But above all seeing myself in the midst of a film that I grew up with, with people whom I have admired, such as Arnold Schwarzenegger," she said.

Although the film only managed to earn $89 million in North America despite its $155 million budget, it went on to explode worldwide as it already grossed $409,515,690, according to Box Office Mojo.

And The Hollywood Reporter claimed that Emilia Clarke was such a hit in China as "Terminator Genisys" raked in $82.8 million in just eight days in China.

Nevertheless, Dish Nation claimed that the actress won't be joining the sequel to "Terminator Genysis" because her "acting ability" was blamed as the reason why the film bombed in the US.

"Of course it's not all her fault," the insider added. "But they basically don't want her back. They're saying she doesn't have the star power they thought she did."
