‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Movie Update, Cast, Release Date And News: No Frontal Nudity In “50 Shades Of Grey’ Sequel; Ian Somerhalder Rumors Abound As James Foley Named Director

"Fifty Shades Darker," the sequel to the blockbuster erotic drama "Fifty Shades of Grey," may be darker, but it won't be more revealing. "Fifty Shades Darker" learned there will no frontal nudity for Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson.

Australia Network News reported that the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel will have too many restrictions for full frontal nudity.

That doesn't mean "Fifty Shades Darker" will be too dark to see. There will reportedly be more mature scenes compared to "Fifty Shades of Grey."

"Fifty Shades of Grey" director Sam Taylor-Johnson left over the creative differences with the book author E.L. James. "Fifty Shades Darker" will be helmed by 61-years-old American director, James Foley, according to Variety.

James Foley directed "Glengarry Glen Ross," "Fear," "Confidence," and "After Dark, My Sweet." His last feature film was 2007's "Perfect Strangers." Since then he's been working on the from Netflix original drama, "House of Cards."

Foley will reportedly direct "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed." News Everyday reported that both movies may be filmed at the same time.

Roles for Jack Hyde, Dr. Flynn, Leila Williams and Mrs. Robinson have not yet been cast.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" movie earned over $560 million worldwide.

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are reportedly asking Universal Pictures for a pay hike. Dornan will reprise his role as Christian Grey, while Johnson will continue to play the role of Anastasia Steele.

The second installment of the Fifty Shades trilogy will be written by EL James. James' husband, Niall Leonard.

There are rumors that actress Charlize Theron will play the role of Mrs. Robinson.

Reportedly, "The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder is in the running to portray Hyde but no official casting announcement has been made. Henry Cavill ("Man of Steel") is also rumored to be in talks for the role.

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are set to reprise their characters of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.

Leila Williams will reportedly be played by Cara Delevingne.

Shooting on "Fifty Shades Darker" will reportedly commence in February 2016 in Vancouver at North Shore Studios.

"Fifty Shades Darker" is slated to be released on February 10, 2017, while "Fifty Shades Freed" will hit the cinemas on February 9, 2018.
