iPhone 6s To Have Higher Screen Resolution? Other Phone Specs Revealed!

With the highly-anticipated release of the iPhone 6s just a few hours from now, the concern on everybody's minds is, first and foremost, its specs.

Leaked photos of the smartphone on Weibo may provide some answers, as they highlight a key feature of the iPhone 6s: its screen resolution, according to BGR.

The pictures of the handset appear to be the Chinese version of the iPhone 6 Plus, which are expected to eventually find their way to Apple's website after the company rolls out its latest models.

The improvements on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus may be iterative as compared to their predecessors, but an upgrade in resolution is a considered a big deal especially among long-time users.

If the leaked Weibo photos are indeed authentic, these enhancements would increase the pixel density of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus to 488 ppi and 460 ppi, respectively.

It is worth noting that these details have not been mentioned in previous reports made by reliable industry sources.

The user who posted the iPhone 6s Plus images on Weibo also included a shot of the handset's Geekbench score.

With scores of 2248 in single-core tests and 4036 in multi-core mode, the smartphone in equipped with a 1.8GHz Apple A9 chip.

In the meantime, Wired also shared some of the rumored specs of the iPhone 6s.

It is said that the smartphone's camera will be getting a major upgrade, as it will be capable of capturing 4K video and can take 12 megapixel stills.

Similar to the Apple Watch, the iPhone 6s may also be equipped with a Force Touch, which will allow the phone to distinguish between a tap, a press and a hard press.

Other rumored specs of the iPhone 6s include a 2GB of memory on all models, while a new Rose Gold color will also be introduced in the latest model.
