Gmail ‘Compose’ Complaints: New ‘Compose’ Pop-Up Feature Sparks Complaints From Users

Google rolled out a change last October for users to compose emails in Gmail and just yesterday made it a default for everyone.

It’s a feature that allows users to compose their email in a new pop-up window on the bottom right corner of the screen on top of the inbox.

The feature has been implemented on October 30, while some people liked the change, others hated it, just like how it is with most changes.

The new Gmail composer is here to stay and is designed to allow faster and simpler than the previous way of writing emails on Gmail.

"We're now ready to introduce the new compose experience as the default for everyone," Google said in a blog post announcing the change. "We're looking forward to hearing what you think!"

Users for now can still switch back to the old way before Google makes the switch permanent at some point in the future.

Google seems to be under the fire once again after announcing its controversial decision to shut down its Reader Web feed aggregator, now for changing the way users write emails on Gmail.

Here are some uses that shared their complaints of the new feature to Twitter over the last day.

If you wish to switch back to the old interface, simply press the “Compose” button on the left side of the screen. When the new compose box pops up, click on the down-arrow icon on the right of the window, then select “Temporarily switch back to old compose.”
