Apple Excites Users During September 2015 Announcement; iPad Pro, New Devices To Boost Sales

Apple has made good on its announcement that it would unveil its latest batch of devices by September 2015.

At the company's recent keynote, executives showed off a larger iPad tablet, an upgraded Apple TV and new iPhones that can detect the amount of pressure exerted on their screens, reported BBC.

The iPad Pro, which has a 12.9 in (32.8cm) display, has been described as an iPad "on steroids," as it is best suited for working on tasks, playing video games, and editing and watching movies.

The new Apple tablet possesses the same processing power of almost 80% of portable PCs that have been sold over the past six months.

The iPad Pro will be rolled out with an optional magnetically-connected keyboard, which resembles a similar accessory for Microsoft's Surface tablet.

An expert noted that the new model could boost demand for the device, as iPad sales have been declining.

"As much as the iPad is experiencing some challenging times, it's vastly more successful than any other tablet on the market and it's still a multi-billion dollar business," said Geoff Blaber of the CCS Insight consultancy.

"A larger-screened iPad should definitely breathe some life into the category. But the price will be a barrier for many."

Meanwhile, at the Apple September 2015 official announcement, CEO Tim Cook also unveiled a new Apple TV with its own app store and new operating system.

"The future of TV is apps," declared Cook.

The device is equipped with a remote control which has a touch-sensitive panel and a microphone, which allows for voice-operated functions.

The TV box also features the Siri virtual assistant which lets owners ask what shows or movies are available. It can also bring back results from a range of services, and can play video games.

On the other hand, the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus's 3D Touch feature enables users to switch between different functions by pressing the handsets' screens firmly.

The smartphone is capable of shooting 4K videos, which is four times the amount of pixels of 1080p high definition video.

In the meantime, the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus' new 12-megapixel camera also includes a Live Photos feature, which merges a series of photos to create a GIF-like effect when you hold down an image, according to The Next Web.

The feature can make life easier for users, as it creates Live Photos by capturing pictures 1.5 seconds before and after the image, including the current audio.

Apple said that the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus have the same price as the original iPhone 6, starting at $199 for 16GB iPhone 6s and $299 for 16GB iPhone 6s Plus.

The announcement made by Apple this September 2015 will certainly create long queues at the company's stores across the globe.
