Cleveland Cavaliers News: It’s All-Or-Nothing For Coach David Blatt; Job On The Line

The Cleveland Cavaliers perhaps have one, if not, the highest payroll right now in the NBA. They are cashing in for next season and they are hoping to win it all next season.

But, what if it doesn't pan out? Who will fans blame? Will it be LeBron? A bit, but the Cavs management can't afford to lose their most prized asset which means head coach David Blatt will once again be a subject for criticism next season.

It is worth noting that ESPN.com's Marc Stein was able to observe what was going on in Cleveland's huddle during the playoffs last season.

"And we likewise saw LeBron emasculate Blatt in ways that are simply unbecoming of a player of James' legend-in-the-making stature," Stein said.

"I saw it from close range in my role as sideline reporter through the Finals for ESPN Radio. James essentially called timeouts and made substitutions. He openly barked at Blatt after decisions he didn't like. He huddled frequently with Lue, often looking at anyone other than Blatt."

In fact, Stein even saw James completely disagreeing with Blatt's drawn-up play, and that is never a good sign. Perhaps, it was one of the key components why they lost to the Golden State Warriors in the Finals.

"There was James, in one instance I witnessed from right behind the bench, shaking his head vociferously in protest after one play Blatt drew up in the third quarter of Game 5, amounting to the loudest nonverbal scolding you could imagine -- which forced Blatt, in front of his whole team, to wipe the board clean and draw up something else," Stein describing the scenery at that time.

Will fans get to see a more mature Cleveland Cavaliers squad next season? Will LeBron James and David Blatt finally develop a good chemistry for them to win it all next season? Stay tuned.
