Acoustic Group LUNAFLY Impresses Malaysian Press and Connects With Fans at 2nd F.Y.I Stop

Over 100 media representatives and Malaysian fans gathered at OverTime, Sunway Pyramid on 29th February to meet LUNAFLY on their first ever visit to Malaysia. Having just landed in Kuala Lumpur a couple of hours prior to the press conference, LUNAFLY, comprised of Sam Carter (leader), Teo and Yun, first made a live call-in to apologize for being late due to being stuck in the traffic jam. When they finally arrived, decked in black, grey and white casual outfits, they immediately greeted the audience and introduced themselves.

When asked how did they first got together, Sam said that Teo and Yun were the trainees at Neganetwork and when he finished his run in MBC Star Audition, he just happened to meet them by chance at the recording studio and a producer thought that they should record a song together and found that they sounded good together. The MC continued to ask about their plans after they're done with their events in Malaysia and they mentioned that their new album 'Fly to Love' will be released on 3rd April and there will be a live concert as well as TV appearances scheduled.

Sam also said that even though they had just touched down in Kuala Lumpur, he loved how Malaysian fans are so passionate and Teo and Yun agreed. When asked if they would want to branch out into acting, Teo said that he would like to try. Yun, however, being a very shy person, is not sure whether he would do it well. Sam continued by saying that if they were given a chance, they would definitely be up to try acting, especially if the part is right for them. The MC also asked them whether they knew any Malay words and the boys said words such as 'apa khabar' (how are you), 'terima kasih' (thank you) and also 'aku cinta padamu' (i love you), which made the fans roared appreciatively. Sam also shared that they had prepared quite a few surprises and a few special songs will also be performed in their showcase, which is to be held the next day in Taylor's University Lakeside Campus.

LUNAFLY once again made an appearance later that night at The Square, Publika for a public fanmeeting-high 5 session. Over 200 fans turned up for the event which is held outdoor. Even though they're new in the industry, LUNAFLY managed to hold themselves really well in terms of performance and also handling the crowd and getting them hyped. Teo was especially good with the crowd, which suits his image as the moodmaker in the group. Yun, the shy maknae, seems to be crowd's favourite with everyone screaming his name to get his attention and leader Sam is charismatic as always.

After greeting the audience, they went straight to perform their debut song, Superhero, with the fans singing along with them. Soon after that, few lucky fans were chosen where they were asked to request anything from the boys but only using 5 words. One of the fans asked whether they can go out for dinner but she later requested to take pictures together with the boys instead. Another fan asked the boys to sing to her and chose the song 'Just the Way You Are', much to the crowd's envy. Other than that, fans also asked the boys to do aegyo and kwiyeomi (cutie player), which is very popular these days. However, aegyo seems to be Sam and Yun's weakness because when fans requested them to do it instead of Teo, who is usually the person in charge of aegyo in the group, they ran and hid behind the banners and refused to come out. However, since fans insisted and kept on chanting their names, they complied, albeit reluctantly, especially for Sam, who commented that at the age of 26, he was too old for aegyo.

The next game that had been prepared was charades where a few more lucky fans were chosen and divided into three teams. Fans did the gestures and the boys had to guess the answer. The cheeky Teo kept on making cute gestures to distract the other teams. At one point, a girl in Yun's team was struggling with her handbag and being a gentleman that he is, he took the handbag and held it for her. Each of the fans received hugs and goodie bags containing signed CDs and clear folders from the boys.

The boys then proceeded to sing their second song for the night, which is 'Seeing You or Missing You' (the Korean version of You Got That Something I Need) before starting the high 5 session, where about 100 lucky fans got to high 5 with them. The night ended with the boys bowing to the crowd and waving before leaving the venue. Fans left anticipating what will be in the store for them for the showcase, which is the group's first ever full performance in Malaysia.
