NBA Trade Rumors: Ricky Rubio Subpar Shooting And Injury History Main Factors Why T-Wolves Are Moving Him

The Minnesota Timberwolves are rumored to be moving their top point guard, Ricky Rubio to another team.

His failure to develop a consistent jump shot and being one of the worst paint slashers hinder his growth and his history of injury makes him a likely trade piece for the T-Wolves per ESPN.com's Bradford Doolittle.

"For all he does well, Rubio just can't find a consistent peg in the shooting realm. He's not just an inconsistent jump shooter -- he's annually one of the worst finishers in the league, ranking in the 6th percentile at worst in the restricted area for three straight seasons, per nba.com/stats," Bradford wrote.

"Last season, he shot 31.7 percent at the rim. During the 3-point era, there have been 420 instances in which a qualifying player has recorded six-plus assists per game with an effective field-goal percentage under break-even. Rubio owns the two worst league-adjusted rates and three of the bottom five."

But the Spanish point guard doesn't want to bother with all the rumors going out right now and he just wants to concentrate on how he will be of help to his team.

"I have confidence that the team wants me but you know in this league anybody can get traded," he told Gulf News' Jamie Goodwin. "You don't listen to the rumours. You just live day-by-day and that's it."

Also, as stated in a previous report, the Dallas Mavericks, New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, and Milwaukee Bucks are the teams that would love to land Rubio.

In a report by Bleacher Report's Ric Bucher, he said that the T-Wolves will be relying mostly on veteran point guard Andre Miller to take the helm during crunch time. The main issue they see in Rubio is his ability to score that makes him expendable. He added the teams that might pursue Rubio are the Sacramento Kings and the Dallas Mavericks."
