Girl's Day has been creating a frenzy amongst fans, having promised with the recent release of their first album, Expectation, that if they became number one on the charts, they would give free hugs in Myeongdong. The title song, "Expectation," has achieved that goal making it to number one on the preeminent online music sites, along with reaching the top rankings of various music broadcasting programs.

"We are so thankful that Girls Day as front-runners has been able to reach number 1," said the management representative, going on to say, "However, regardless of any results or ranking, Girls Day would like to repay fans for the warm love they have shown. That will happen sometime this week when they fulfill the promise to give free hugs in Myeongdong."
