Super Junior Ready to Ride the Hallyu Wave All the Way to South America

Last week Super Junior kicked off their 'SUPERSHOW5' tour in Seoul with two concerts at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena on March 23 and 24. Now the guys are gearing up for the next leg of their world tour, South America.

At the end of this month, Super Junior will perform live in front of thousands of screaming fans in four cities across South America - Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Santiago and Lima.

Super Junior's 'SUPERHOW5' marks their first ever exclusive concert tour on the continent as well as the largest undertaking of performances by any Korean artist to date.

Organizers in Brazil are already planning ahead for the show that will take place three weeks later. Authorities will mobilize the largest number of concert security personnel in the country's history for the April 21 show at Credicard Hall. They are furthermore anticipating a necessary increase in airport security as fans fly into Sao Paulo for the sold out concert.

Local promoters have estimated that Super Junior will require ten times the amount of personal body guards than the average pop star due to their tremendous popularity among Brazilian fans.

SM Entertainment also announced that there will be a strict policy for prohibited items so as to assure the safety of the idol group and the fans. Glowsticks, however, will be allowed.

Super Junior revealed their plans for the South American leg of the 'SUPERSHOW5' tour during the successful Google+ fan hangout last month. Plans for North American or European shows have not yet been announced, but fans in those parts of the world are anxiously waiting to see if the popular idol group will appear in concert at a venue near them.

It looks like Super Junior are well on their way to international stardom and fans throughout South America cannot wait to see them up close and personal.
