Moto X Pure Edition Goes Head To Head In Specs With iPhone 6S Plus But Size Gets Hit

"The two smartphones go head to head as far as specs are concerned," the pointed out in their review.

"The water resistant build and front flash of the Moto phone can definitely take you away from your Apple fascination," the site added. "But the 6S Plus' 4K technology and image stabilization may hold you back from going Android."

When it comes to size, the Moto X Pure Edition is smaller but thicker than iPhone 6S Plus.

In terms of processor and storage, the Motorola's device boasts of hexa core processor and Snapdragon chipset with three GB RAM, with a wide range of storage capacities of 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB, while the latest iPhone unit uses A9 chipset of Apple with a two GB RAM. In the meantime, the Moto X Pure Edition may have received a number of good reviews for its features but its size somehow appears to be a disadvantage for some.

In a review made by Stephen Kleckner of Venture Beat, he mentioned that the Moto phone's size "screws up my one-handed grip."

"Then there is the difficulty of trying to one-hand the device, which is how I have to handle my smartphone during my commute," he said.

"Where my thumb can barely reach the far corners of my Samsung Galaxy S5 using a palm grip, I can't touch the far sides of the Moto X Pure Edition without doing a risky finger-roll move," he added.

However, he noted that this a scenario among different phones nowadays.

Apart from this issue, he commended the Moto X Pure Edition's "good physical design" and "good video, great external audio."
