ElectroBoyz Are Back, This Time With After School's Nana

ElectroBoyz, the ubiquitous Korean hip-hop trio are back with another single, this time featuring Nana from After School.

ElectroBoyz are known in the Korean music industry for the sheer number of collaborations they do with other popular singers - from B2ST to Davichi and everyone in between.

Their latest release, "Ma Boy 3" is a more relaxed re-working of the previous track "Ma Boy 2" which featured Hyorin of SISTAR19. Both songs are the trio's hip-hop interpretation of the hit song "Ma Boy" originally sang by SISTAR19.

"Ma Boy 3" is a smooth, relaxed track that is easy to groove to. Nana's voice lends well to the ElectroBoyz rap style and the song is somewhat reminiscent of mid-90's R&B-hip-hop mashups popular in America at the time, but with an updated feel. It is a subtle song and the lyrics are not particularly deep or meaningful, but it is definitely approachable and fits well in the current climate of new spring releases.

And K-Pop fans apparently agree. In the span of a couple days, "Ma Boy 3" has climbed its way to the top of the real time singles charts.

The music video portrays a sweet love story as played out by actress Bahn So Young and 1KYNE. It shows them on a series of dates as their love progresses.

"Ma Boy 2" was the end of 2011 and did exceptionally well on the charts as well as live music shows. It came as quite a surprise to the ElectroBoyz who were humbled by the recognition saying that they had spent many years making music without being noticed before.

Well, people did take notice - and they still are from the looks of it. As long as ElectroBoyz keep putting out great singles and collaborating with other awesome singers, they will have continued success in the K-Pop music world.
