The 4.0 version of the Google Hangouts app has been given good reviews because of its being "multi-functional."

According to The REM, mobile users may already delete all the other applications once they have installed this particular messaging service from Google.

The tech site explained that with the many functions that the app can do, it seems that the other mobile programs may no longer need to stay on their gadgets.

The report pointed out as well that with the many things that mobile users want to do in their phone, they need to own a unit that boasts of huge memory capacity in order to accommodate all apps.

But with Google Hangouts 4.0 app, they do not actually need to own a device with such internal memory capacity.

"What you truly desire is to have one phone with a huge internal memory to support all these apps," the report said. "However, buying a new phone overnight might not be an easy option for everybody."

The report noted that the only thing that the gadget owners will need to do is to let the Google Hangouts 4.0 app keep its place in the phone or in the tablet to free up some space for more important files to save.

The REM revealed that the messaging service is capable of doing a number of things like sending a text message to other Hangouts users, call phones even of non-Hangouts users and send standard SMS and MMS across the application.

And "if you are lucky and your contact has Hangouts, then you can place HD quality voice and video calls to him" at no extra cost, except for their monthly data plan subscription.

Meanwhile, the Neurogadget reported that the newest update of the app is only available for download and installation for the Android Lollipop and Android 6.0 Marshmallow Preview users via the Play Store.

With all the Google Hangouts 4.0 app's cited functions, installing it can be considered a wise decision.
