Stephen Curry Disproves NBA Draft Comments With 2015 MVP Win; Wife Praises Star Via Instagram

The year 2015 is a banner period for Stephen Curry, a stark contrast to his experience in the NBA draft six years ago.

As the league's reigning MVP, very few now remember the unflattering comments contained in 2009 scouting reports which highlighted the Golden State Warrior shooting-guard's perceived deficiencies, reported the Fox Sports.

Those reports might be a thing of a past but the two-time NBA All-Star recounts them in a one-minute commercial for CoachUp, a private coaching service for athletes who want to improve on their game.

In the video, which was voiced over by the 2015 NBA champion himself, he enumerates the reasons cited in the reports why he wouldn't make it big in the league.

"Stephen's explosiveness and athleticism are below standard."

"He's not a great finisher around the basket."

"He needs to considerably improve as a ball handler"

"Stephen must develop as a point guard to make it in the league."

Six years after the release of the NBA draft scouting reports, Stephen Curry has blossomed into one of the deadliest clutch shooters in the game today, and possibly, the most-guarded player in 2015.

"Over the years I've been doubted and questioned," he said in a press release on Wednesday.

"My NBA scouting report represents what some 'experts' said about my ability. But no matter what people said, I always blocked them out and kept training," he added

With his stellar performance during this year's finals, Stephen Curry has not only silenced his long-time critics, but nullified the comments contained NBA draft scouting reports.

Meanwhile, the ESPY's "Best Male Athlete" for 2015 guested recently at the Late Night Show to endorse a popular video game and talk about his successful NBA career, reported The Celebrity Café.

But the highlight of his guesting was when he engaged the show's host, Stephen Colbert, in shooting contest where they used socks instead of balls.

According to Colbert, the shoot-out would settle once and for all who was better shooter between the two Stephens.

The contest, however, was deadlocked at 1-1, which drew huge cheers from the crowd.

The NBA champion's wife, Ayesha, posted on her Instagram account, "Proud of him! Be sure to tune in tonight to The Late Show!"

As the career of Stephen Curry continues to soar in 2015, the 2009 NBA draft reports have now become a distant memory.
