Big Bang is the only K-pop group included on a top 10 list of the most powerful figures in entertainment. On September 25, the Korean outlet Ilgan Sports published the results of a recent survey which polled 300 industry leaders.

The 300 member focus group encompassed 100 individuals from music, television, and film.

According to the Ilgan Sports report, Big Bang placed fourth on the list of 30 influential figures in Korean entertainment, with 259 points.

"Big Bang had their longest year ever, of activity," said the reporter for Ilgan Sports. "From May through August, they have had a song on the number one spot."

The writer continued to demonstrate their significance as leaders in K-pop, noting the impact of G-Dragon on the group.

"In particular, votes for G-Dragon were clearly reflected in this survey," said the writer.

Big Bang returns to North America in October 2015 for the "MADE" tour. The pop legends are currently the subject of a video retrospective on DramaFever, which encapsulates the impact on the Korean Wave.

The five-member group was followed by SM Entertainment CEO, Lee Soo Man, who came in fifth on the list with 238 points.

YG Entertainment founder and chief, Yang Hyun Suk, was sixth on the list with 228 points.
