Dal Shabet took home their first 'Best New Artist' award. 

New girl group Dal Shabet was awarded 'Best New Artist' on January 11th during the '26th Annual Golden Disk Awards' held on Osaka, Japan. They had previously won the 'Best Idol Music' category on the '19th Annual Korean Pop Culture Awards' but this was their first new artist award.

During the ceremony, Dal Shabet put on a mashup performance of their hits 'Beep', 'Supa Dupa Diva', 'Pink Rocket', and 'Bling Bling' and got a lot of media attention.   

Dal Shabet was quoted "we're so happy that we succeeded in winning the Best New Artist award because it's an award that you can only receive once after your debut. We're so thankful for everyone who came here to support us as well as those who are cheering for us back home. We'll work harder to get even better in the future. Thanks again for all your support."

Dal Shabet debuted last year in January with mini albums 'Supa Dupa Diva', 'Pink Rocket' and 'Bling Bling' with great success.

They were even chosen as the 'Best new female artist of 2011' on a national magazine survey.

Dal Shabet will release their fourth mini album on January 26th.
