Sacramento Kings News: DeMarcus Cousins And George Karl Starting To Build Great Chemistry

The Sacramento Kings can now breathe a sigh of relief as head coach, George Karl and franchise star, DeMarcus Cousins, are starting to build a bond and are now working together to achieve a common goal.

It was not pretty at all during the off-season as George Karl vocally expressed his interest to trade All-Star center and franchise star DeMarcus Cousins. Naturally, the young center was not pleased with his coach and demanded that the management do something about it.

In fact, the owner of the Sacramento Kings, Vivek Ranadive, considered firing the head coach but ultimately decided not to do so.

Now, the Sacramento Kings could not ask for more with what is happening right now. The two are now in sync and are also developing a great releationship now per team vice president Vlade Divac.

"They didn't understand each other, they didn't trust each other, but that all comes from frustration from the previous year," told The Sacramento Bee. "Actually, years for DeMarcus and the last 30 games for Coach."

Vlade Divac shared how he did his part to mend the relationship of Karl and Cousins and he is happy that both responded in a very positive way.

"My job was to take them away from each other and make sure I build the trust and start fresh. And I'm so happy with the meeting we had in Las Vegas, and they realized only together we can do it and separately we're not going to do it, no matter how much talent and experience we have."

"And now we are on that page. Everybody. Not just DeMarcus and Coach but (assistant general manager) Mike (Bratz), the front office, coaches, players. And that's what you need to hear."
