Oculus Rift Consumer Version Release Date Set In 2016, VR-Tech Makes You Nauseous?

“Oculus Rift” consumer version release date is happening next year but there are more concerns about the VR-tech than expected.

The whole point of the device is to make gamers feel as if they are actually inside the game that they are playing. This is just what hardcore gamers are looking especially since they get the chance to be fully immersed in the game and this is why the “Oculus Rift” consumer version release date is highly anticipated.

However, there is one common thought that seems to put a damper on the latest development in gaming tech. According to Gamezone, VR-tech is said to allegedly give you nausea when used to play games. To this thought Valve’s Chet Faliszek voiced out what he thinks about it.

“As consumers and people in the community, hold developers to it,” he said. “They shouldn’t be making you sick. It’s no longer the hardware’s fault anymore. It’s the developers making choices that are making you sick.”

Faliszek’s statement shifts the attention from the VR-tech being the problem, to how the games are actually made since consumers are not fully aware that the “nausea” happens when they play a game.

The chances of users experiencing nausea should be very low as all VR-Tech use hand track controls for their headset. This means that the other reasons for users getting sick points to the kind of game that is being played and how that particular game was designed.

While the release date of the VR-tech is still set in early 2016, Alphr reported that pre-orders would begin this year before the “Oculus Rift” consumer version release date.
