Houston Rockets News: Ty Lawson Vows To Make Steph Curry Work Harder Next Season!

Houston Rockets new acquisition Ty Lawson can't wait to get the season started as he told the reporters during media day that Houston is the place to be and he vows to make NBA MVP Steph Curry work extra hard on both ends next season.

When the Houston Rockets got in to last year's Western Conference Finals, he texted James Harden to get him there and he got that wish granted. Now, his first order of business is to make the world see Curry's weakness.

"Steph Curry needed someone to go back at him," Lawson told Yahoo Sports. "I thought Steph was just chillin' on defense - and then going crazy on offense. He looked like he was just putting shots up and not working so much on the defensive end. He would just come down and hit three or four 3s. He can shoot when he's got his legs under him."

But, he clarified that he is taking the Golden State Warriors point guard to school, but he will definitely give Curry a run for his money.

"I'm not saying, 'Oh, I'm going to stop Steph,' but just make him work harder at the other end. I saw that in the Cavs series too. He wasn't really working at the other end."

Also, he shared his learning from the troubles a few months ago and he shared that he is a changed man now.

"It was eye-opening to me," Lawson told Yahoo Sports. "I didn't think alcoholism got that bad. But it does.

"There were people who were pushed into [the rehab facility] by family, and then me, who was court ordered. Just to see that it can get that bad, that you can die. You may not see that as a person until you're already there."
