A baby icon would mean that that friend is a new addition to your list.

A gold star would mean that a snap has been replayed. The gold star has sparked a lot of attention on Twitter lately and an explanation from an Emoji blog explained what the star really meant.

"Let's say you have a friend Emily. You see she has a star by her name," the blog explained.

"This means that one of Emily's friends (it could be you, or it could be anyone else) replayed her snaps recently. She's a popular gal. Enough for at least one person to give her a replay."

Furthermore, a yellow heart would mean that you send the most snaps with that specific person.

A red heart, meanwhile, would mean that you have been exchanging snaps with a certain person for two weeks straight.
