Patrick Dempsey got himself a nice start after exiting "Grey's Anatomy" by joining the movie "Bridget Jones 3."

To date, there are no details on what role McDreamy will play, although there are some speculation that he would play Renee Zellweger's love interest, along with Colin Firth.

"Given that Hugh Grant dropped out of the project last fall, though, we figured that Dempsey might be filling the required Bridget Jones film role of tousle-haired charmer who tempts Bridge away from her more sincere love interest, Mark Darcy," said Vanity Fair.

Patrick Dempsey was equally mum about his role in the movie although he did disclose in an Instagram post that filming of "Bridget Jones 3" has already begun.

He captioned the photo, "Nice to be working in England. Renee and Colin are an absolute joy to work with! A good couple of days rehearsing at Pinewood Studios. I really like it here!"

One fan apparently has not gotten over the fact that Patrick Dempsey left "Grey's Anatomy." The fan wrote, "I hate you! why did you give up on Grey's Anatomy?? so many fans are still love you and you just left us without you."

"So excited to see it," another said. "But still can't believe you decided to leave greys . But wish u all the best."

According to Deadline, "Bridget Jones 3" will have the official working title of "Bridge Jones' Baby."

"Bridget does find herself unexpectedly expecting," it said. "Less clear at this stage is if and when the father's identity will be revealed, leaving open the possibility that Dempsey - TV's own (former) Doctor McDreamy - could play a love rival in a similar vein to Hugh Grant's dashing Daniel Cleaver."

Expect more news about Patrick Dempsey's character in the coming weeks, however, as the story of the movie "Bridget Jones 3" will get clearer.
