In a report by People, Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger were seen on a recording studio, prompting speculations that the two are still collaborating on music.

The "Complicated" singer also posted a snapshot of herself in her Instagram account. She can be seen strumming on a guitar while donning a cowboy hat.

"YeeHaw! Writing with Chad today," Avril Lavigne said in her caption.

The post was followed by another Instagram photo, this time showing the 40-year-0ld Chad Kroeger as she smiled in front of the camera with his guitar on his lap.

"Back where it all started," the 31-yer-old Canadian pop rock princess said.

It can be recalled that Avril Lavigne announced her divorce with Chad Kroeger after almost two years of marriage.

The singer posted on Instagram an image of them on their wedding day, with the caption, "It is with a heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today."

The "Hello Kitty" singer also added in her post that she will no longer work with the Nickelback front man in music, Billboard said.

Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger worked together in 2013 for the hit single "Let Me Go." The couple decided to get marry the same year in France.

The rumors that the couple is heading off to divorce started last year when they were seen in separate outings without their wedding rings.
