Lindsay Lohan Wants ‘Mean Girls’ Sequel? Former Teen Star Hints At ‘Mean Moms’

Lindsay Lohan seems to want a "Mean Girls" sequel. According to a report from Hollywood Life, the former teen star hinted about the possibility of having a new movie, called "Mean Moms."

The movie star posted an Instagram tribute over the weekend in remembrance of the hit teen film. The screenshot showed the scene where Lindsay Lohan's "Mean Girls" leading man Aaron Samuels asking what day it was, to which her character, Cady Heron, replied Oct. 3.

"Wow I do feel a bit late on this one haha," she said. "Next step: #MEANMOMS. I'm trying to make it happen!"

Fans were quick to jump on Lindsay Lohan's hint for a "Mean Girls" sequel.

The report also recalled how rumors circulated earlier this year about an upcoming movie entitled "Mean Moms," to be starred by Jennifer Aniston. The rumored film is considered by fans as a sequel to "Mean Girls" since it is based off a book by Rosalind Wiseman, who also wrote the book on which the hit 2000s flick was based from.

According to a previous report from Time Out London, Lindsay Lohan had pitched the idea of a "Mean Girls" sequel to co-star and producer Tina Fey.

"I was with Tina Fey ['Mean Girls' writer] the other day and I said we should do another 'Mean Girls,' like an older version where they're all housewives and they're all cheating," she said.

"That would be really funny. I'll harass Tina to write it."

"People really love the movie: how do you top that?" the redhead actress added.

Last year, Entertainment Weekly reported about cast secrets that were revealed during the movie's 10th anniversary reunion.

Lindsay Lohan admitted that her dream "Mean Girls" character was always that of queen bee Regina George. "I was still 17 years old and I wanted to be the cool girl on set," the former Disney star revealed. The role eventually went to Rachel McAdams.
