Finally, the clash between Gennady Golovkin and David Lemieux is bound to happen on Oct. 17 and it is expected to be a match with plenty of heavy blows and someone will probably drop down the canvass.

Both fighters are known for their punching power. For instance, Gennady Golovkin have 33 wins and no defeat, with 30 of those victories being knockout. Meanwhile, Lemieux have 34 wins with 31 of those being knockouts but he is no longer undefeated as he lost twice during the span of his career.

However, Lemieux said that made him to a better fighter as overcoming adversities will toughen up someone like him mentally and emotionally.

"You know the losses that occurred in the past made me realize a lot of things and I guess it depends on how you react to adversity in life some people it breaks them and others it makes them," Lemieux said via Latin Post. "Champions are made I guess in these trying moments and I can certainly say I've had them like they say the best way to learn is from your own experiences."

Despite Lemieux's confidence, some believes that he will still be utterly destroyed by Golovkin. According to renowned trainer Freddie Roach, Golovkin will easily outpower the Canadian boxer.

"I'm not so sure, but I'd like to see him fight a high caliber fighter. I am a big fan of his and I do like watching him. I do study him and there are flaws. He [Golovkin] kills Lemieux whenever he wants," Roach said to Boxing News 24.

But that might be a bit biased as when he was asked who he believes will be  the perfect opponent for Golovkin, he referred to his fighter, Miguel Cotto, as the best candidate.

"Triple G is a tough fight. The thing is I think he's a great fighter," Roach said. "I don't know if he's the greatest fighter in the world right now. I'd like to see him in a little bit of a test, and I think Cotto would do that."
