Ciara Sticking By Russell Wilson Amid Criticisms From Seahawks Fans, Laughs Off ‘Ciara Curse’

Ciara is sticking by Russell Wilson amid criticisms from fans of the Seattle Seahawks. According to a report from Rolling Stone, the "I Bet" singer simply laughed off the alleged "Ciara Curse" that supposedly caused her NFL boyfriend's team to lose their recent games.

Ciara has been accused of distracting Russell Wilson from football ever since they started dating earlier this year. Some die-hard Seattle Seahawks fans even pointed out how the star quarterback seems to have fallen victim by the "Ciara Curse" that caused the supposed career lulls of the R&B star's ex-boyfriends, such as Amar'e Stoudemire, Bow Wow and Future.

The sexy diva simply laughed off the accusations.

"You know what? It comes with territory," Ciara said.

"You realize when people say negative things about you [that] you're still living your dream. When people say those types of comments, you know, that's silly. It's clearly silly."

"I choose to focus on the positive and focus on the cool things that are truly happening. That's how I live my life, and I have to say life is good. Clearly those things don't make any sense," she said.

Just last month, hardcore supporters of the Seattle Seahawks even put up a GoFundMe campaign to encourage Ciara and Russell Wilson to breakup.

According to a report from USA Today's For The Win, the ploy to split the controversial couple was organized by fans who are blaming the songstress for Russell Wilson's supposed poor performance.

The GoFundMe project was established supposedly so that the Ciara could have more projects and focus on her musical career, which fans believe would eventually lead to her breaking up with Russell Wilson.

"These fans are asking for a mere $50,000 to help jumpstart Ciara's career and ensure 'she has no time to be in a relationship,'" the report stated.

According to a report from The News Tribune, Russell Wilson's coach, Pete Carroll, admitted that he reminds his star player about focusing on football amid his public relationship with Ciara.

"We do talk a lot, about what's going on, what's coming," he said.

"He has tremendous responsibility and he handles it beautifully. I don't want him to be too far away from all of the things that we communicate on that keeps us close to football."

"He doesn't let that happen. I'm on top of that," the coach said.
